We’re keeping the Pride celebrations going all month! We’ve got a special party planned with Fatherhood and Buddy Buddy resident Mutualism.
Fatherhood: Brooklyn
Mutualism: Buddy Buddy, Buffalo
Fatherhood is the perfect union of Michael Magnan and Physical Therapy—two New York stalwarts joined together to play a joyous high-energy take on house and techno. With decades of experience between the two, Fatherhood provides responsible selecting prowess and dance floor guidance.
In 2011 the pair bonded over a love of the fun, bitchy and sometimes tasteless sounds of classic New York house music, and Fatherhood was formed. Since then the pair have held residencies at infamous parties like 11:11 and Club Shade, and played countless back to back sets. They have released records of colorful, unique dance music on London’s Batty Bass and Stockholm’s Study Records as well as appearing on Physical Therapy’s Allergy Season. In 2019 they curated and mixed “Bad Advice Vol. 1” a compilation for the legendary Nervous Records which commissioned modern producers to connect the dots between the dance music scenes of yesterday and today.

This is a party for queer WNY. It’s very important to us that you can come as you are and enjoy yourselves. In an effort to create a space where all feel safe and to foster the right vibe, a few policies for the evening:
- We don’t tolerate any violence; non-consensual touching; racist, queerphobic, transphobic, sexist or other discriminatory language; or leering. If someone says or does anything to make you feel uncomfortable, please let our crew know. We’ll be posted on and around the dance floor wearing red bracelets. We can help you or find someone who can.
- No pictures or videos—we want you to unplug, be present, let loose; nobody should have to worry about being documented.
- Please leave any light-up or dancing equipment (i.e. poi balls, hula hoops, etc.) at home.
- Please try to keep conversation on the dancefloor to a minimum. There’s space off the floor to unwind and chat if you need a break.
