Join the Poetry Collection for an open house celebrating the exhibition The Language of Magic: Queer Occult Poetics. Featuring archival materials by Helen Adam, Robert Duncan, Harvey Milk, and others, the exhibit focuses on the San Francisco Renaissance, a radical poetry and arts community that flourished in the 1950s and 1960s, exploring how poets engaged with occult influences to create queer identity. A guided tour of the exhibit will be offered before the open house begins.
